 $17 per hour

Contract Length

  10 – 20 hours a month for 12 months

Job Summary
Work with the Steering Committee of Disability:IN Utah to create feature stories and other content for publication on the committee’s website, social media channels, and print materials.  Assist in providing coverage for community events, virtual presentations and in person events.  Provide oversight and monitor all social media.  Perform other responsibilities like a news reporter including writing stories, captioning pictures, conducting interviews.   The internship program transitions students from college or university curriculum to practical applications in professional organizational communication and/or marketing project settings.

 
Essential Functions

  • Add content, manage, and oversee social media.
  • Maintain Disability:IN Utah webpage.
  • Attend and document Disability:IN Utah functions.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of managing and monitoring social media.
  • Website management
  • Excellent writing skills

Required Education and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Currently working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent education preferred.

Preferred Prior Experience
Previous experience working in managing Facebook and other social media accounts.
 
Assigned Decision Making
You must be able to work unsupervised, make on the spot decisions, and represent Disability:IN Utah favorably
 
Interactions with Others
You will be representing Disability:IN Utah at official events.  You will be expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner.

Working Environment
Hybrid office working environment
